(I will provide the proposal document that will have the tree sources I have picked and the movie I would like to focus on.)
Needs to be an essay of approximately 2500 words (10 pages) that complicates, extends, reworks, or otherwise contributes to the current scholarly writing on the topic that you proposed in the Research Paper Proposal and Bibliography through a film analysis.
The essay should:
1. Have a thesis statement that explains what your topic is and how the paper will contribute to current scholarship about this topic.
2. Synthesize at least three relevant secondary sources on your topic.
3. Perform a close analysis of the film selected in your research proposal (or another American film released between 1930-1960) that demonstrates how the film complicates, extends, reworks, or otherwise contributes to the current scholarly understanding of your selected topic.
